Corporation Sunday and the Douglas Brigade show off their engines. The picture is taken in Lord Street and the first appliance is a 1935 Merryweather 50' open top Turntable Ladder Reg No MAN 875, the second appliance is a Albion Major Pump Reg No MAN 876 and the third vehicle is unknown. Note the Fire Brigades Drill Tower on the left hand side of the picture where the bus station is now and also the Isle of Man Co-operative Society at the end of Duke Street/Lord Street has not yet been built.
