Laxey (LAKSAA) Fire Station is situated in Mines Road, Laxey, and is manned by part time retained personnel, which consists of one Station Officer, one Sub-Officer, two Leading Firefighters and eleven Firefighters, who respond to their fire station at any time of the day or night when their fire service pagers are operated.  The station has two pumping appliances one of which is a Water Tender Ladder Appliance call sign 2:1 and the other appliance is a Pinzgauer 6x6 Appliance call sign 2:3 which has off road capability as parts of Laxeys fire area include large sections of grass and hilly terrain areas which would be impossible for a normal road fire appliance to access.
