Kirk Michael (SKYLL MAAYL) Fire Station is located in Station Road, Kirk Michael and is manned by part time retained personnel, which consists of one Station Officer, one Sub-Officer, two Leading Firefighters and eight Firefighters, who respond to their fire station at any time of the day or night when their fire service pagers are operated. The Station has two pumping appliances one of which is a Water Tender Ladder appliance call sign 4:1 and the other appliance is a Pinzgauer Six Wheel Drive Vehicle call sign 4:3.   This vehicle is a necessity for Kirk Michael because like other stations on the Isle of Man there are large sections of hilly terrain and inaccessible locations where rigid fire appliances would not access.
