| The above picture comes courtesy of Stuart Green - Stuart was on holiday at the time of the fire and when he returned to the Island he was informed that his workplace had virtually burned to the ground. Another interesting part of this picture is the amount of buildings that are no longer there, i.e. The Peveril Hotel - Royalty Cinema - Tiger Tim's and ironically the Steam Packet sheds are now being demolished and Circus beach has been filled in. |

| At the height of the incident four major pumping appliances, one hydraulic platform and one emergency tender were engaged in firefighting operations - Crews remained in attendance throughout the night damping down and making the building safe. |
