Castletown (BALLEY CHASHTAL) Fire Station is situated in Farrants Way, Castletown and is manned by part time retained personnel, who respond to their fire station at any time of the day or night when their fire service pagers are operated.  The stations personnel are made up of one Station Officer, one Sub-Officer, two Leading Firefighters and twelve Firefighters.  The Station has two Water Tender Ladder Pumping Appliances call signs 7:1 & 7:2 one of which has off road capability, and the other vehicle is a Pinzgauer Vehicle equipped as a Road Traffic Accident Unit call sign 7:9.
