| Flat Regulations 1996 |
The Fire Safety Departments dedicated Flats Team is tasked with improving the level of fire safety in premises which contain flats. Whether the premises are under the control of an individual landlord or a management company there is a legislative requirement for the premises to comply with the requirements of the Fire Precautions (Flats) Regulations 1996. The Flats Team adopt a proactive approach to the inspection of flat premises within the Islands housing stock, and are available to give expert advice regarding existing premises or future developments containing flats.
